Log’ins, a successful social joint-venture, celebrates anniversary with XPO Logistics and Ares

Lyon, France | June 30, 2017

The relationship, established between XPO Logistics, a leading global provider of transport and logistics solutions, and Ares, a French organization supporting social inclusion, aims to help disabled people achieve a smooth return to work. Colleagues work at Log’ins as handlers or order pickers, and of the nearly 70 people employed by Log’ins to date, 75% have subsequently found further employment or additional training places.

With Log’ins, XPO and Ares are fostering integration through employment and the development of new skills, enabling people supported by the programme to take up useful and long-term roles in the workforce. One year after the launch of Log’ins in Saint Vulbas in May 2016, the joint-venture is expanding to other areas, including Saint-Quentin-Fallavier and Satolas. Log’ins serves leading companies in the textile, cosmetics and food industries, and has ambitions to expand its service with a goal of reaching a turnover of one million euros by the end of 2017.

Bertrand Le Goff, XPO Logistics managing director, France, said, “We are proud to support this programme and welcome new employees, who are already making a valued contribution to our business. The additional support they receive during the placement is vital to help them adjust to the workplace. We look forward to welcoming many more.”

Guillaume Hérisson, director of operations at Ares, said, “Client satisfaction is at the heart of our project. This is key to ensure the employability of our collaborators, after a maximum of 18 months working at Log’ins.”
