Biography
Marlene Colucci serves as Executive Director of The Business Council in Washington, D.C., an organization comprised of CEOs of the largest global corporations. Previously, she spent eight years as Executive Vice President of Public Policy for the American Hotel & Lodging Association, where she provided guidance on regulatory matters. Earlier, she served as Special Assistant to President George W. Bush in the Office of Domestic Policy, where she developed labor and transportation policies, and as Deputy Assistant Secretary with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs. Ms. Colucci’s law career includes more than 12 years with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, where she served as Senior Counsel. She is a former member of the board of directors of XPO Logistics, Inc., and holds a juris doctorate from the Georgetown University Law Center.
