XPO Logistics Appoints Alberto Scagnetti as Supply Chain Business Development Director in Italy

XPO Logistics, a leading global provider of transport and logistics solutions, has announced the appointment of Alberto Scagnetti as business development director for its supply chain operations in Italy, with responsibility for strategy development and implementation, customer relationship management, marketing and communications. He will report to Ube Gaspari, managing director of supply chain in Italy.

Scagnetti has more than two decades of experience in the logistics industry in Italy, with in-depth knowledge of operations and sales in the automotive, consumer and retail, telecommunications and electronics, manufacturing, publishing, oil and gas and healthcare sectors. He previously worked at Tecnologistica and TNT Logistics. Most recently he was in charge of managing the contract logistics division of CEVA Logistics in Italy, with responsibility for both operations and commercial development. He holds a degree in management and engineering from Politecnico University of Milan.
