XPO Logistics, a top ten global provider of logistics and transportation solutions, has announced the appointment of Vincent Ricci as business development manager for its supply chain operations in France.
Mr. Ricci will manage the full scope of business development, including sales and marketing; customer-specific process engineering, performance and deployment; QHSSE and communications. The integration of these functions under Mr. Ricci’s leadership will provide XPO customers with a comprehensive approach to their logistics requirements.
Mr. Ricci has some 15 years’ experience working with international groups specializing in logistics and e-commerce. Before joining XPO, he spent two years at Amazon, where he established a network of collection points called “Amazon Lockers”. Previously he worked at Geodis, where he was responsible for developing the Group’s e-commerce accounts in France; and at PwC, where he led supply chain transformation projects and oversaw the creation of new distribution models for top tier retailers. He began his career as a Geodis research manager for the Asia-Pacific region.
Mr. Ricci holds a specialist diploma in production from ESSTIN in France; a master’s of science degree with specializations in operations and supply chain from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden; and is trained in engineering.
