XPO Logistics, Inc. (NYSE: XPO) heeft vandaag aangekondigd dat Bill Fraine zal worden benoemd als Chief Commercial Officer van GXO Logistics, Inc., de voorgenomen spin-off van de logistieke activiteit van XPO. Bill Fraine wordt verantwoordelijk voor de belangrijkste go-to-market activiteiten van GXO, met aandacht voor het afstemmen van groei en waardecreatie op lange termijn, eens de geplande splitsing is voltooid.

Fraine kwam in 2011 bij XPO als Head of Operations and Account Management, en is momenteel Division President Supply Chain voor Noord- en Zuid-Amerika en Azië-Pacific. Hij heeft het integratieproces geleid na verscheidene bedrijfsovernames door XPO en de bedrijfsactiviteiten in Noord-Amerika geherstructureerd volgens verticale gebruikersmarkten. Voor zijn komst bij XPO heeft Fraine 23 jaar voor FedEx gewerkt, waar hij opklom van eerstelijns afhandelaar tot Hoofd Sales.

Vanaf dag één zal GXO kunnen starten met een sterk klantenbestand, waaronder 30% Fortune 100 bedrijven. Fraine zal toezien op alle aspecten van de verkoopstrategie van GXO op essentiële verticale markten zoals e-commerce, retail, kleding en elektronische consumentenproducten.

Als tweede grootste contractlogistieke leverancier ter wereld zal GXO ideaal zijn geplaatst om in te spelen op drijvende factoren in de logistieke sector, zoals de toenemende e-commerce, de groeiende vraag voor automatisering bij klanten en de snel opkomende trend naar uitbesteding van supply chain diensten. De logistieke activiteit van XPO omvat momenteel nagenoeg 890 locaties in 27 landen.
