XPO Logistics supports La Redoute’s digital transformation

Selected to attend the March 23 to 25 One to One Monaco Show for eCommerce specialists, XPO logistics eSupplyChain experts presented their collaboration with French mail order retailer La Redoute. The two companies co-presented the bespoke logistics solution designed to support La Redoute’s new digital strategy during a workshop titled “How XPO Logistics supports La Redoute in its complete logistics overhaul”.

XPO Logistics developed the custom-made solution as part of La Redoute’s transformation of its information technology, logistics procedures and systems. La Redoute strives to achieve best-in-class quality of service and productivity, while ensuring high levels of consumer satisfaction. The new solution will turn the order-picking center into one of the most advanced eCommerce platforms in Europe, uniquely combining the latest technologies. The order-picking process will be streamlined from 14 to three steps, and will take just two hours as opposed to four. It will be possible to process 300,000 parts simultaneously with total reliability.

Engaged as a management and operational consultant, XPO Logistics oversaw the new flows management technology development, and will provide ongoing management and maintenance. XPO experts are also responsible for La Redoute staff training prior to the operational launch expected in September 2016.

While presenting at the workshop, Patrice Fitzner, chief operating officer of La Redoute, commented: “XPO Logistics supported us throughout all stages of the project, from solution design to implementation.
