Leroy Merlin Selects XPO Logistics For Its Logistics Platform in the Great-West Region (France)

Lyon, France | October 22, 2018

Leroy Merlin, an international home improvement and gardening retailer headquartered in France, has entrusted global logistics provider XPO Logistics with the management of a new site planned near Angers in the Great-West Region. The 42,000-square-meter logistic platform is expected to be complete by the end of this year and start operating in January 2019.

XPO will handle storage, order preparation, cross-docking and distribution of products to Leroy Merlin stores. Staffing is expected to grow to 150 people within three years as activities reach full operation.

Olivier Vasseur, director of logistics operations at Leroy Merlin France, said, “We were convinced by the solutions XPO offered and their strong response to our growth challenges. This new site will allow us to best meet the needs of our customers in the West of France.”

Richard Cawston, managing director–supply chain, XPO Logistics Europe, said, “We are delighted to support Leroy Merlin in the implementation and management of the Angers platform. We already partner with our customer on transport operations, and this new agreement extends our collaboration.”
