A premier destination for luxury fashion, this brand is focused on offering a seamless, omnichannel customer experience through its network of stores across North America and its digital channels.

The company was seeking a logistics partner to support an e-fulfillment center that would ship directly to customers nationwide as part of an innovative strategy to meet the surge in demand for luxury fashion heading into the holiday shopping season and to support the ongoing shift toward online shopping.

The customer leveraged GXO Direct, a flexible warehousing solution that enables businesses to position inventory close to target customers, reducing fixed costs and transit times.

Through GXO Direct, the distribution center serves as a strategic shipping hub. GXO’s kolaborativních robotů, known as cobots, assist approximately 300 employees to optimize efficiency, improve accuracy and enhance both customer and employee satisfaction. The site also has the flexibility to deploy additional capacity and cobots to support increased volumes during seasonal peaks. The customer is leveraging over 385,000 square feet of the GXO-operated Silver LEED certified building. This site is the third facility to be added to their network and the first to be outsourced.

With its innovative GXO Direct model, GXO is meeting the customer’s needs with speed a agility, providing key resources a flexibility during the holiday shopping season and spring peaks and is helping them capitalize on the dramatic growth in online shopping.

To optimize their inventory strategy, we worked with the customer to increase their footprint in the facility by nearly 40% in 2022 which maximized their network storage capacity and enabled the implementation of a new product category.

GXO Direct also helps lower shipping miles and CO2 emissions by reducing the need for expedited air transportation, which is six times more carbon-intensive than over-the-road transport, while providing flexibility for rapid shifts in inventory as demand changes.
